Inventory Opening Balance Utility for BMEWEB 9.0

The Inventory Opening Balance feature allows organizations to initialize stock quantities and valuation in BatchMaster Web by uploading a standardized Excel template through the BME Web Master Import Utility. The upload supports detailed inventory attributes such as item, location, lot, bin, container, pallet, quantity, cost, and expiry date, enabling accurate opening inventory setup across warehouses and storage structures.

Each uploaded record is automatically posted as an inventory transaction, with cost-wise segregation applied during posting. Every unique cost entry generates a separate transaction ID, even for the same item, ensuring precise valuation, transparent pricing history, and audit-ready inventory records. This approach eliminates cost ambiguity and establishes a reliable foundation for downstream inventory and financial processes.
